Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She is best known as Bo on the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk is the daughter of Peter who was an academic, and Peter Silk who was known as an accomplished actor and director. He was also a playwright, educator and Director of Drama, St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her first memories when she was at rehearsals for play with her mom. Silk featured in a number of commercials as a child. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Arts from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was involved in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk was a resident of Toronto for her acting to progress, and then moved to Los Angeles California. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple was engaged in 2009 and were married at the civil ceremony on was held in December. After she had converted to Judaism and they renewed their wedding vows at the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman's son was born May of 2013, and her son was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron, Silk's second son was born in May 2016. Silk's TV work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009, she was cast in the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian TV show Lost Girl. Silk made it known to her fans that she was pregnant in January 2013 at an episode of Showcase Season Three Special. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she's ready to go back to work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the production of the fourth season. CNN's Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved TV Couples. E! named them the Top Television Couple for 2013.
