American actor Allison Brooks Janney was born November 19 1959. For the past 30 years Janney's performances have earned praise on stage and screen. Janney was honored with many distinctions, among them The Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. Also, she received Seven Primetime Emmy Awards. She was also nominated for two Tony Awards. Janney is originally from Boston and was raised close to Dayton the city of Dayton in Ohio. Her Kenyon College graduation earned her an award from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney made her television debut in 1999 with the character C. J. Cregg who played the character on NBC's political drama The West Wing (1999 to The West Wing from 1999 to) in which she was awarded Four Primetime Emmy Awards. In her role in the Showtime Drama Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress In the Drama Series. Janney received nominations several times in the Primetime Emmy Awards and twice won Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
